The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) classes 10 and 12 compartment board examinations 2024 will begin today, July 15. Students who are appearing for the CBSE Board Exam 2024 must carry their admit cards along with their school ID card as no student will be allowed entry into the exam hall without them.
The CBSE class 10 supplementary examination 2024 will be conducted on July 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, and 22. The CBSE compartment examinations 2024 for class 10 will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm for all subjects, except for computer applications and information technology, which will be conducted from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The class 12 compartment exams will only be held today from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Exams for Hindustani music, painting, commercial art, Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Kathak, yoga, artificial intelligence, and dance, however, will take place from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Students will be given 15 minutes extra to read the question papers.
The CBSE is conducting the exams for candidates who failed in one or two subjects in the final exams or wish to improve their scores. A total of 1,22,170 students of class 12 and 1,32,337 students of class 10 have been placed in the compartment category.
Students must note that before entering the hall, they have to leave all their electronic devices outside. They are also not permitted to carry any prohibited study materials inside the exam room, including notes, textbooks, or flashcards.
This year, 93.60 per cent of students who sat the class 10 exam passed it. This represents a 0.48 per cent gain over the 93.12 per cent who passed the CBSE 10 exam in the previous year. Trivandrum has fared as the best-performing region in the class 10 results for 2024.
The overall pass percentage recorded this year is for class 12 is 87.98 per cent which is a 0.65 per cent rise from last year’s 87.33 per cent. Girls have surpassed boys by more than 6.40 per cent with over 91 per cent of girls passing. While the pass percentage among boys is 85.12 per cent.
