Students can easily calculate their score based on the answer key. As per the JEE Main marking scheme, students can give themselves four marks for every right answer and deduct one mark for every wrong one. In the numerical section, however, there will be no negative marking.
What is percentile calculation formulae:
Step 1: Calculate the number of candidates who appeared in the same session as you and have got a raw score that is equal to or less than you.
Step 2: Multiply the number achieved in Step 1 with 100.
Step 3: Divide the number of Step 2 by the number of candidates that appeared in the session in which you appeared.
Step 4: You will get your percentile score
JEE uses the percentile score to prepare the merit list. As a matter of practice the score is calculated up to 7 decimal places in order to avoid tie.
