National Defence Academy Recruitment Process Underway; Check Last Date Of Application
National Defence Academy is one of the premier institutes for the training of officers for the Indian Armed Forces.

Aspirants who aim to become commissioned officers in the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force can apply for the exams at the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy. Candidates who have passed plus two, including women, can also apply for these exams. National Defence Academy is one of the premier institutes for the training of officers for the Indian Armed Forces. Indian Naval Academy imparts training to eligible candidates to become a professional officer in the Navy. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct these exams. Eligibility

Candidates who are unmarried will be the only ones who can apply for these posts. The birth date of the applicants should not be before July 2, 2005, and July 1, 2008. The applicants should be healthy and comply with all the physical and medical criteria. There is no restriction on the candidates to have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry to join the Navy and Air Force.

Number of vacancies

A total of 400 vacancies related to the officer’s posts will be filled by the exams at the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy. These are the number of vacancies in certain categories:

1. Army- 208 vacancies (10 positions reserved for women)

2. Navy- 42 vacancies (12 positions received for women)

3. Air Force- Flying 92 vacancies (2 vacancies reserved for women)

4. Ground Duties (Technical)- 18 vacancies (2 vacancies reserved for women)

5. Ground Duties (Non-Technical)-10 vacancies (2 vacancies reserved for women)

2) Naval Academy

Out of 30 vacancies in the Naval Academy Cadet Entry Scheme, 9 are reserved for women.

Application fee

The application fee for these examinations is Rs 100.

Important dates

The last date for applying to attempt these exams is January 9. The exam will be held on April 21.

Examination Centres

The examination centre for training at the National Defence Academy will be in Khadakwasla, Pune, and the Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kannur. Examination centres have also been made in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. The preferred centres will be allocated when the applications from the candidates are received.

Benefits

The selection process will commence in January 2025. A stipend of Rs 56,100 per month will be received during the trial period itself. The candidates who acquire the rank of Lieutenant will receive a salary ranging from 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500.
