NCERT Announces Recruitment For 123 Associate And Assistant Professors
The online application process started on July 27 and will run till August 16.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced recruitment for various academic positions including Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors. Under this recruitment drive, 123 posts are available for recruitment across the NCERT and its outposts in New Delhi, Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru and Shillong.

The online application process started on July 27 and will run till August 16. The objective of this recruitment is to attract qualified educators to the NCERT, an apex organization for educational research, teacher training and the development of curriculum and instructional materials in school education.

For Professors, candidates must have a PhD in the relevant/related subject and at least 10 years of teaching experience or equivalent research experience. They must also have at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Educational Qualification

For Associate Professors, a PhD in the relevant subject and at least 8 years of teaching or research experience are required. Also, candidates should have at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Assistant Professors must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks and should have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET). A PhD in the relevant subject can exempt the candidates from NET.

The age limit for these posts varies as per the guidelines of NCERT and UGC. Detailed age criteria can be found in the official notification.

Application Fee

The application fee for General, OBC and EWS category candidates is Rs 1000/-. SC/ST/PWD and women are exempted from paying the application fee. The fee is payable online only and is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection process involves screening of applications followed by an interview. Only the candidates shortlisted based on their academic performance and research publications will be called for an interview. The final selection will be made solely based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
