NEET UG Results 2024: During the July 18 hearing, the CJI directed the NTA to upload the marks of all students by July 20 noon and said that the students’ identities must be masked

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET- UG) 2024 results city and centre-wise. Around 23 lakh students who took the exam this year can check the results on the official website of NTA NEET. The results have been released in a PDF format.

The CJI on Thursday directed the NTA to upload the marks of all students by July 20 at noon and said that the students’ identities must be masked. “You can have dummy roll numbers, so no student’s identity is disclosed. But let us see, centre-wise, what was the mark pattern. The result should be declared in relation to each centre separately,” the CJI had said.

The Bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala, and Justice Manoj Misra will hear the NEET paper leak matter on July 22, Monday after 10.30 am.

On Thursday, the SC also observed that any order for conducting the medical entrance exam afresh has to be on the concrete footing that the sanctity of the entire exam was affected. “Re-examination can only be on a concrete footing that the sanctity has been affected on a large scale,” said the three-judge bench.

So far, 63 people have been taken into custody till now of which 18 have been arrested by CBI including four students of AIIMS Patna who were alleged exam “solvers”. The central agency, however, pointed out that the probe so far has indicated that the scale of malpractice could be much lower than anticipated, with less than 150 students being affected. “It is only in the Patna-Hazaribagh case that there is any evidence of the question papers being stolen. Here too, only one centre seems to have been affected. Country-wide, the total number of students affected could be less than 150… even within this number, the aspirants who got to know of the question paper ahead of the exam could be even fewer,” CBI said.
