UPSC Recruitment 2024: Application Opens For 69 Specialist, Scientist B and Assistant Director Posts

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has initiated the application process for the recruitment of 69 positions, encompassing specialist and various other roles. Aspiring candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are invited to apply online through the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

The recruitment drive comprises 40 positions in the Specialist Grade III category, 28 posts in the Scientist B category, and one post for the position of Assistant Director. The registration window is open from January 27, and applicants have until February 15 (up till 11:59 PM) to submit their online recruitment applications.

UPSC Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institute.

Age Criteria: Candidates must take note of the specified age criteria:

For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs): 45 years

For Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs): 40 years

For Other Backward Classes (OBCs): 38 years

For Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Unreserved (UR) categories: 35 years

UPSC Recruitment 2024: How to Apply

Step 1:Visit the UPSC’s official website at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Recruitment’ option, and a drop-down box will appear.

Step 3: Select the ‘Online Recruitment Application’ link.

Step 4: A new page will open, listing the available posts and the online application link.

Step 5: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button for the desired post.

Step 6: Carefully read the important instructions and complete the application form.

Step 7: Complete the application payment online.

Step 8: Click on the Submit button and download the completed form.

Step 9: Print a copy of the application form for future reference.

UPSC Recruitment 2024: Application Fees

Applicants, with the exception of females, SC, ST, and persons with benchmark disability, are required to pay a fee of Rs 25. This fee can be remitted either in any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) by cash or through the net banking facility of any bank. Additionally, payment can be made using Visa/Rupay/Master/Debit Card/Credit/UPI.

Candidates shortlisted for interviews based on the information provided in their online applications will need to submit self-attested copies of documents and relevant certificates when requested by the commission. The pay scale for the advertised positions is at Level 10 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
