In August, Kartik Aaryan took to social media to announce that the shoot of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-starring Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Triptii Dimri has been wrapped. The video shared by him showed Anees Bazmee saying, “Okay everyone, get ready. We’ll take a shot. Hey, you guys, be quiet. Sound, camera.” Kartik is then seen interrupting him and saying, “Not action, wrap up!” The video also features the actor and the director hugging and cutting a cake to mark the occasion.
The film went on floors in March this year. Earlier this month, Kartik and Vidya were spotted in the city as they came together to shoot for the poster of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. And now, we bring to you an exciting update on the horror-comedy. News18 Showsha has exclusively learnt that the makers have decided to do some last minute additions to the film.
A little birdie tells us, “The super success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Stree 2 has set a precedent like nothing else. It clearly shows that there are takers for horror-comedy and that franchise films are working big time. Hence, the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are leaving no stone unturned to repeat the euphoria that the aforementioned films gave way to.”
Apparently, the actors will return to the sets to film a handful of extra scenes as the makers have decided that it’s a good way to amp up the entertainment quotient of the film. Additionally, two more songs will also be shot. “About seven to eight more sequences will be added to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 along with two more songs. Whether these tracks will be used for promotional purposes is still not clear. Music definitely helps a film strike a chord with the audiences even more and this is precisely why the production has taken the said call. Stree 2 is a classic example in that sense,” the source adds.
The shoot of these scenes and songs will begin soon in Mumbai. And this, in no way, will affect the release date of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Speaking to us a while back, Kartik had shed light on filming it and said, “When I resumed shoot for it post Chandu Champion, on the first day, I was constantly asking myself ki main zyada toh nahi kar raha hoon? The sur of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is very different. I went around asking everyone on set if I was performing too much. This happened because, in Chandu Champion, I had to keep things a notch higher. But then I got used to it.”
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has led to immense curiosity and excitement among fans as it will see the two major pillars of the franchise – Rooh Baba and Manjulika – come together. The film will also feature the iconic Ami Je Tomar and the reimagined version of Labon Ko. It’s slated for a theatrical release on November 1, 2024.
