Shenaz Treasury Reacts to Ishq Vishk Rebound, Says 'Surprisingly Ishq Vishk Didn't Change My Career' | Exclusive
Shenaz Treasury says Chot Dil Pe Lagi recreation from Ishq Vishk Rebound is 'cute'. She admits to not being able to milk the attention she got from Ishq Vishk.

21 years after young adult rom-com Ishq Vishk that launched the careers of Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasury comes Ishq Vishk Rebound. The spiritual sequel presents an array of fresh faces like Rohit Saraf, Jibran Khan, Pashmina Roshan and Naila Grrewal and explores modern-day relationships. Its trailer has a heavy hangover of Ishq Vishk with tracks like Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar and Chot Dil Pe Lagi witnessing a modern makeover.

Recently, Shahid took to his Instagram story extending his best wishes to the cast of Ishq Vishk Rebound as he wrote, “Hope this will be as special for you as it was for me 21 years back. Best of luck.” And now, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Shenaz reveals that glimpses from the new film left her ‘nostalgic’. The latest version of the song Chot Dil Pe Lagi that was originally picturised on her and Shahid and captured their endearing chemistry also impressed her.

She tells us, “I’ve watched a little bit of it. It’s cute. It’s nice to see the same songs and it did make me a little nostalgic. I wish the new actors of Ishq Vishk Rebound all the best. I hope the film becomes a big hit like Ishq Vishq. The new version of Chot Dil Pe Lagi looks really cute. I’m very excited to watch the movie. I’ll go to watch it for sure.”

The Ken Ghosh directorial may have emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office back in 2003, Shenaz, who was a VJ with MTV, confesses that she couldn’t milk the attention that it brought her. “Surprisingly, it didn’t change my career. I did the movie and went back to MTV. And then I fell in love with a guy and moved to Thailand and did shows for MTV Asia. And then we moved to Hong Kong. We left India four years after Ishq Vishq, which wasn’t the best decision to take in terms of career. But I was in love. You do crazy things when you’re in love,” she shares.

But it is this theme of young love that she believes made Ishq Vishk special. “Young love is a beautiful thing. It’s all about going in there fresh – with no expectations and no disappointments. I just love it. I wish I could go back to young love. And Ishq Vishq was all about that,” recalls Shenaz, who’s a popular travel vlogger today.

So, what’s her most vivid memory from the shoot of the film? “My fondest memory was when I would be rehearsing with Shahid even before the actual shoot began. We used to meet and rehearse together. That used to be a lot of fun. But I had the most fun when I went to the set to shoot for the song Kaun Hai Woh. That was, in fact, the first day of the shoot of Ishq Vishk. I didn’t really know what was happening around me. It was all very interesting and exciting!” she says.
