Looking for authentic pan-asian cuisine in the heart of Delhi – NCR, look no further, as Mamagoto opens one more eatery in Gurgaon. For the unversed, Mamagoto means ‘to play with food’. It was the first restaurant to introduce Indians to street hawker cuisine, urban art and manga movement with an “energy box” style of décor.
We get talking with Tulsi Soni, AGM, Marketing on the launch of their new outlet in Gurgaon:
- How does this new Gurugram location differ from the first one, and what lessons did you apply from all the openings?
This location has been unserved with Mamagoto food. Lessons are simple – we always make sure right food, right ambience and right vibe is aligned. Everything comes out beautifully then.
- Can you share any exclusive dishes or features introduced at this outlet to entice repeat customers?
The whole Mamagoto menu is a charm from variety of sushi, dimsums to our signature bowls. We have started our new thai menu – Hawker Hustle to entice repeat customer which is for a limited period of time.
- Were there any specific preferences or feedback from the local community that influenced the menu or ambiance of this Mamagoto branch?
We were getting demand of opening Mamagoto in that location since that area was unserved of our food. Now we get many customers who says now they don’t have to travel to cyberhub for Mamagoto food.
4. What challenges did you encounter in opening the outlets in Pan-India, and how did you overcome them?
Choosing the right location has been a difficult task always. So, we do surveys and research so we don’t go wrong in choosing locations.
5. In what ways do you aim to contribute to the local dining culture and engage with the diverse community in Gurugram?
Engaging with local communities and involving them in the product by doing sushi masterclass, bar takeovers and cultural engagements
