Barcelona want to shore up up their defence and the Brazilian centre-back could be the right man for the job.
La Liga champions Barcelona have reportedly bid a whopping £30 million for Chelsea defender David Luiz, as reported by the website champonsleague.ca on Tuesday.
Barcelona are keen to bring the Brazilian striker to Nou Camp despite Chelsea not showing any intentions of selling Luiz. Barca are eyeing Luiz to shore up their defence as the club struggled during the period Puyol was out injured last season.
Luiz has become a sought-after player after Brazil won the Confederations Cup where the centre-back performed exceptionally. However, it remains to be seen if Chelsea are willing to let their most prized possession go.
