Barcelona: Barcelona are reportedly keeping track of Chelsea striker Fernando Torres. The Spain international's future at Stamford Bridge had appeared to be secure following manager Jose Mourinho's comments that he wants to get the best out of the former Liverpool frontman.
But despite public backing by Mourinho, striker wants out of Chelsea. According to reports in Spain, Catalan side are willing to offer €20m (£17m) for 29 year old Spaniard.
With speculation rife that David Villa could be about to leave Barcelona and with Alexis Sanchez struggling for form there is certainly scope for a new striking option and clearly any new addition would play second fiddle to Neymar, who has been brought in to play alongside Lionel Messi.
Torres may well jump at the chance of a move to the Nou Camp but clearly an offer of £17m is barely a third of the £50m Roman Abramovich invested in the former Liverpool man two and a half years ago.
