Manchester: Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has sent a clear message to Spain U21 teammate Thiago Alcantara about joining him at Old Trafford this summer. English Champions are chasing the Barcelona midfielder, who scored a hat-trick in Spain's victory over Italy in the U-21 Euros final.
And for the hat-trick ball, signed by all his teammates, one message stuck out: "Nos vemos en Manchester" (See you in Manchester). The signer wasn't identified, but De Gea is the only player in the squad currently based in Manchester.
Earlier on Wednesday there were reports that United have activated Thiago's release clause and the player is willing to leave Barcelona for the regular football. United have been following him since three years but are confident of snapping him this time around.
The son of Brazilian World Cup winner Mazinho has grown frustrated with his lack of playing time at the Nou Camp since 2011, and it is that shortage of action which means he is available for a cut-price 15 million pounds which suits United's budget as well.
