Czech Rosicky doubtful for Poland tie
The Arsenal attacking midfielder is struggling with an Achilles problem.

Wroclaw: Tomas Rosicky has admitted that his participation in Czech Republic's crucial Euro 2012 Group A clash with Poland on Saturday remains in doubt.

The Arsenal attacking midfielder is struggling with an Achilles problem and is not yet sure if he will be fit to face the co-hosts in Wroclaw.

"I will not train tonight [Friday] but I will have additional treatment," Rosicky told reporters at a press conference.

"I feel better, though, and we will see tomorrow morning how I feel. Then we will make the decision, depending on how it is."

Rosicky admitted that he is desperate to make it, given the Czechs, who defeated Greece on Tuesday night, must win to guarantee themselves a place in the quarter-finals.

Indeed, he is particularly keen to get the better of his Arsenal team-mate Wojciech Szczesny, who is expected to return in goal for the Poles after being sent off against the Greeks in the tournament opener.

"We have great hope and a great chance of qualifying and we are not worried," Rosicky explained. "We want to grab this chance; it's as simple as that. I'm not telling myself that this is the end.

"I would prefer to play against Szczesny and score against him as well; that would be good ahead of next season!

"But he is a very talented goalkeeper and he can stay at Arsenal for the next 15 years and only get better."
