Fans Figure Out Reason Behind Kanye West’s Appearance At Inter Milan's UCL Game Against Atletico Madrid

On Tuesday night, last season’s runners-up Inter Milan took on Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash at the San Siro in Milan. The hosts will carry a narrow lead to Spain for the return fixture as they won 1-0, thanks to Marko Arnautovic’s 79th-minute strike. While the game was mostly a cagey affair, the venue in Milan welcomed a surprise guest for the match- American rapper Kanye West. The 46-year-old singer was joined by his wife Bianca Censori as the couple sat in the stadium’s VIP box and witnessed all the action unfold before them. Kanye was dressed in all-black – a black jacket with the hood over his head – and was spotted wearing a black mask that covered all sides of his face in its entirety.

Rich The Kid and Playboi Carti, two more artists with whom Kanye West collaborated on his new album Vultures 1, joined the pair in the stands for the Champions League fixture. During and after the match, fans have been speculating on the reason for Kanye West’s visit to Italy’s famous football stadium. The reason, though, seems to have been clear, as fans have figured out why Kanye visited San Siro. The rapper is understood to have formed a unique relationship with the Nerazzurri. He recorded Curva Nord Milano, a section of the Inter Milan ultras, in a studio to offer a wild backdrop vibe for some of the tunes on his new album, including ‘STARS’ and ‘CARNIVAL’. The ultras were added to the album’s credits, too.

One fan quoted a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, showing photos of Kanye West watching the football match with his wife Bianca Censori, by saying, “He’s an Inter fan for sure. Literally had Inter fans on his album.”

Another posted, “For anyone wondering, he got the Inter Ultras to record samples for tracks on his new album.”

Coming back to the on-field developments, Inter Milan had a chance to take a bigger advantage to the Civitas Metropolitano, where they will meet Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the round of 16 Champions League tie.
