Footballer Bellamy faces ban over altercation with fan
Bellamy reportedly struck a Manchester United fan after he stormed the pitch.

Another City striker is now in hot water. Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy could be banned after the Football Association confirmed that it was investigating his clash with a pitch invader following the dramatic 4-3 loss to Manchester United.

The Welsh international was photographed apparently striking the United fan in the face, after he stormed the pitch to confront Bellamy after the final whistle.

City are already fighting a separate misconduct charge following Emmanuel Adebayor's over-exuberant goal celebration against his former club Arsenal - the striker has already been banned three matches for violent conduct, after stomping on Robin van Persie.

An FA spokesman said, according to The Belfast Telegraph, "We are investigating the incident and we will be looking at the referee's match report."

Officals have already seen TV footage of the incident, which is also being investigated by Greater Manchester Police.

The FA has its hands full, as besides the Bellamy and Adebayor dramas, they are also investigating an ugly incident involving City defender Javier Garrido being struck in the head by a coin, as well as alleged racial abuse directed at a ball boy by Blackburn Rovers forward El Hadji Diouf.
