Serie A champion Juventus have signed midfielder Stefano Sturaro from Genoa on a five-year contract.

The 21-year-old Sturaro will be loaned back to Genoa for next season before joining Juventus in 2015.

Juventus says on Tuesday the initial transfer fee of 5.5 million euros ($7.5 million), which is payable over three years, could rise by up to 3.5 million euros.

Sturaro, who made his Serie A debut last August, progressed through the ranks at Genoa, and scored one goal in 16 league appearances last season following a loan spell at Modena.
