Moyes still confident about signing Fabregas
David Moyes continues to remain confident about signing Barcelona mid-fielder Cesc Fabregas despite the latter's clarification about not leaving the club.

Although Cesc Fabregas has dismissed rumors of him moving out of Barcelona, newly appointed Manchester United manager David Moyes continues to remains upbeat about his chances of signing the Spaniard to his club.

According to a report in Daily Star, Moyes is basically targeting three individuals in order to strengthen United's central mid-field and Fabregas tops his list. It makes sense considering Moyes is stepping into Sir Alex Ferguson's shoes and would want to start his campaign off with a bang.

The former Arsenal mid-fielder has however denied speculations of a transfer, labeling the buzz "absurd". He has expressed that he loves playing for the Catalans and is "delighted" to be playing with the the Spanish champions.

According to Fabregas, "If anybody says something different than that I want to play for Barcelona, that's absurd".

This, has reportedly not dented Moyes' confident and he is certain that the 27-year old Spaniard may end up wearing red in the upcoming season. Moyes' assumption is based on the fact that having already signed Neymar in a star-studded line up including Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta may ignite some doubts about Fabregas' inclusion in Bacelona's starting squad.
