Real Madrid’s thirst for talent does not seem to come to an end, as latest reports suggest that the Los Blancos are reportedly on the verge of signing blistering left-back Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich in the near future.
The Athletic has reported that Davies had reached a verbal agreement with the Spanish giants and will look to take his talents to the Santiago Bernabeu in either the upcoming summer or upon the end of his current contract with Bayern Munich, that keeps him at the Allianz till 2025.
Real Madrid are apparently keen on securing a “below-market deal” for the Canadian speedster, and with Davies unwilling to extend his contract with the Bavarians, Bayern just might be tempted to reach an agreement with Madrid, if it comes to it, to ensure they don’t allow Davies to walk for free.
This comes as bitter news for rivals Barcelona as well, who also met with the left-back’s agent over a potential transfer, but did not move aggressively as they believed that he would demand too much money and that they had the position well-stocked with Alejandro Balde.
Following the signing of superstar Jude Bellingham last season, Los Blancos are seemingly set to have a fortuitous transfer window yet again, as news of Kylian Mbappe potentially signing for Madrid has ruled headlines all over.
According to French daily L’Equipe, the La Liga President stated that he did not have any official confirmation but is almost certain inherently that Mbappe will land at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“Knowing that he is leaving PSG, there is a 99 percent chance that Mbappe will sign for Real. But I don’t know if he has already signed,” the La Liga president Tebas said.
“It’s big news for Real and for Spanish football. He is one of the best players in the world. From my point of view, (Jude) Bellingham, (Erling) Haaland and Mbappe are the three dominant players on the planet, and two are already at Real Madrid,” said Tebas.
