Milan: Federico Pastorello, the agent of Villarreal attacker Giuseppe Rossi, is confident that his client's proposed transfer to Juventus is soon to be completed.
Goal.com exclusively revealed on Tuesday that Juventus have turned their attention to Rossi, as the transfer of Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero to Turin has collapsed, and they are keen to seal the switch before they embark on their pre-season tour to USA.
"I am very confident that the deal will go ahead. Giuseppe is keen to move to Juventus and negotiations between both clubs are going according to plan," Pastorello was quoted as saying by Radio Mana Mana.
"The transfer could very well be completed in the near future, but I don't want to say too much. We shouldn't forget that we're talking about an important player who represents a certain value. Juventus are pushing for a move and I repeat that I'm confident everything will go ahead."
The 24-year-old Rossi has a contract at El Madrigal until 2016, but Juventus are ready to meet his 26.4 million pounds buy-out clause and are willing to offer the attacker around 5.3 million pounds per annum in wages.
