London: Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder has denied that he wants to leave the club to join former manager Jose Mourinho at Chelsea according to reports in British media. Dutch international worked under Mourinho during the pair's time together at Inter Milan.
However, he has moved to deny those reports by turning his back on a move to west London as his agent, Soren Lerby, told Turkish radio station CRC, "The issue is clear. Wesley is very happy at Galatasaray and he will continue there next season."
Dutch national team boss Louis Van Gaal recently stripped the former Real Madrid man of the captaincy for his country and called on the player to make the move to the Premier League by hinting that it may help him win the armband back.
"It would be much easier for me to keep an eye on his progress if he were to make the move to Chelsea," he said. Chelsea have been linked to number of midfielder since Mourinho's arrival.
