West Bromwich: Costa Rica right back Cristian Gamboa and Australia left back Jason Davidson have signed for West Bromwich Albion, weeks after playing for their countries at the World Cup.
Gamboa moved from Norwegian side Rosenborg on a three-year deal after the English Football Association's appeal panel approved his work-permit application. He played in all five of Costa Rica's matches in Brazil.
West Brom head coach Alan Irvine says "Cristian is a player I was extremely impressed by during the World Cup."
Davidson signed a two-year deal with the Premier League side after resolving a contract dispute with Dutch club Heracles Almelo, which secured a transfer fee by triggering a one-year option to keep the Australian rather than allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
Both signings were completed on Tuesday.
