How to Access the Podcast Widget on an iPhone

Go to the home screen. Do so by pressing the round Home button below the screen on the face of your device.

Swipe right. This opens the "Today" screen of the Notification Center.

Scroll down. Do so until you reach the bottom of the Notification Center.

Tap Edit. It's a round button at the bottom of the Notification Center.

Scroll down and tap ⊕ next to "Podcasts." The widgets are listed alphabetically in the "MORE WIDGETS" section.

Tap Done. It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. Swipe right from the home screen to access the Podcasts widget.
