Did you accidentally post a TikTok story before you were ready to? Or maybe you realized you made a typo in the caption and need to re-do it. While TikTok will automatically delete stories after 24 hours, sometimes you need to get rid of them sooner—thankfully, this process is pretty simple, and is very similar to deleting a TikTok video.[1]

- You can delete your TikTok story by opening up the story from your profile and tapping the three dot menu icon on it.
- If you have multiple stories to delete, you must delete them individually.
- Deleted stories are gone forever, and after the story has been deleted nobody will be able to see it.
Open TikTok and tap on the Android IG Profile profile button. This is located in the bottom-right of your screen.
Tap your profile picture to open your story.
Click the three dot menu on the right-hand side of the screen. This will be below the likes and comments icons.
Select Delete. It's the trash can icon located in the bottom row all the way to the right. A pop-up will appear asking if you really want to delete your story; click Delete to finish the deletion process. After you delete the story, it will be gone forever and no one else will be able to view it. If you have multiple stories up, you can repeat the instructions to delete them if you'd like to.
