Gather the makeup needed. You'll need liquid foundation in your own skin tone, aloe vera gel and moisturizer. You may also add some SPF 15+ cream or liquid sunscreen, according to your needs.
Add the desired amount of liquid foundation to the empty container. About one tablespoon will make a decent sized batch of primer, but you might want more or less depending on how frequently you will use it.
Add the aloe vera gel to the empty container. Make sure that you have equal parts liquid foundation to aloe vera gel.
Add the moisturizer to the container. The moisturizer amount should be half the size of the foundation or aloe.
If desired, add a small amount of sunscreen to the container. You will only need a couple of small squirts.
Use the Q-tip or spoon to thoroughly combine the ingredients. Remove any lumps in the primer.
Finished. Your DIY makeup primer is ready to be used! You can apply it or put the lid on and store it in a cool, dry place. The primer will last about a year, but if it your skin becomes irritated after use or it looks questionable (even after re-stirring), dispose of the primer.
