Reporting a User or Post
Navigate to https://www.reddit.com in a web browser. You can use any web browser on your computer, including Chrome or Safari, to report offensive Reddit content. If you're not already signed in to your account, enter your login information to do so now.
Navigate to the subreddit with the offensive content. You can search for the name of the subreddit or post by typing it into the search bar and pressing ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return.
Click report beneath the content you want to report. This opens the “We're sorry something's wrong. How can we help?” screen.
Select a reason and click Next. Choose the best-fitting reason for the situation.
Answer additional questions about the content. The questions will vary by reason, but you may have to provide additional text or select options from menus to further explain the issue.
Click Submit. Your complaint will be forwarded to Reddit's support staff. If the content is found to violate Reddit's policies, they will take action.
Reporting a Subreddit
Review Reddit's Content Policy. Reddit's site policy, located at https://www.reddit.com/help/contentpolicy, contains the most up-to-date version of Reddit's rules. Before reporting an entire subreddit, make sure it actually goes against Reddit's policies. If so, continue to the next step. To report a post or user rather than the whole subreddit, see this method.
Navigate to https://www.reddit.com/contact.
Click message the admins. It's the last option in the list.
Click something else.
Click content breaks Reddit's rules.
Select the reason you want to support the subreddit. A list of suggested actions will appear.
Review the suggested actions. Each option has its own suggested actions.
Follow the instructions to contact the admins. Choose from one of the following two options to complete the reporting process: If you have a Reddit account, click please send us a message to access the form. Fill out the entire form and be sure you include the name of the subreddit. When you're finished, click send. If you don't have a Reddit account, compose an email message to [email protected] in your email messaging program. Be sure to include all of the following information: The name of the subreddit, which rule it violates, and any relevant links that prove your point.
