Vaseline for Eyebrows: Can it Grow Healthy Eyebrows?
Petroleum jelly, has been around for ages and is a popular product to incorporate into your beauty routine. Though there have been claims that petroleum jelly can make your eyebrows grow, there aren’t any scientific studies that prove this to be true, but you can definitely try it out to see if it works for you. Even if petroleum jelly doesn’t help you get thicker eyebrows, it can moisturize and soften them, keep the hairs in place, and add a bit of shine!
Steps

How to Apply Vaseline to Your Eyebrows

Choose fragrance-free petroleum jelly infused with vitamin E. Some types of petroleum jelly might be infused with fragrances or other ingredients. Save those for another time and stick with original petroleum jelly for use on your eyebrows, as fragrances are the most common cause of skin reactions to cosmetics. Look for petroleum jelly that contains vitamin E, as the antioxidant properties can increase hair growth. If you have particularly dry skin, choose petroleum jelly with aloe vera in it, too.

Wash and dry your face. Petroleum jelly creates a barrier on your skin, so you don’t want to trap oil or dirt under it. That means the best time to apply petroleum jelly is after washing your face. Get your face wet, then wash it with a cleanser formulated for your skin type. Rinse off the cleanser with warm water and gently pat your face dry with a clean towel.

Coat your brows in a thin layer of petroleum jelly. Put a tiny dot of petroleum jelly on your finger or a cotton swab. Swipe it over your brow, moving from the inside corner near your nose to the outside edge. Do the same thing on the other side, using a fresh cotton swab or clean finger. That’s it! If you use your fingers to apply the petroleum jelly, make sure you wash your hands, first. You can repeat the treatment up to 4 times a day.

Try a different product if you have acne-prone skin. Petroleum jelly can clog pores, so it’s not a great product to use if you frequently get breakouts. Instead, look for a non-comedogenic moisturizer, ointment, or brow gel to keep those pesky zits at bay.

Reasons to Use Vaseline

Moisturize your brows with petroleum jelly. Petroleum jelly can definitely moisturize your hair and skin, which could lead to fuller-looking brows. Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly over each of your eyebrows. There’s no need to wipe or wash it off—just let it absorb!

Soften your eyebrow hairs with petroleum jelly. Petroleum jelly is a very hydrating product and can make your hair and skin feel smoother and softer. If you have coarse brow hair, petroleum jelly might be just the thing for you!

Swipe petroleum jelly over your eyebrows to keep the hairs in place. Petroleum jelly works just like clear brow mascara for a fraction of the price. Comb your brows out with a spoolie brush, then apply the petroleum jelly. You can use the spoolie brush to comb through or position the hairs after you apply the petroleum jelly, too. If you use a brow pencil or other product to fill in your brows, do so after applying the petroleum jelly, as it could smudge your makeup.
