Telugu actor Chiranjeevi is currently occupied with the filming of his upcoming projects. On the occasion of his 68th birthday on August 22, the actor announced his 156th and 157th movies. While his 156th film will be produced by his daughter Sushmita Konidela under the banner of Gold Box Entertainments, the 157th is reported to be directed by Mallidi Vasishta.
He made his directorial debut with the socio-fantasy film Bimbisara in 2022. As per reports, the makers have announced the release date of the upcoming film.
Touted to be a fantasy entertainer, the film has been tentatively titled Mega157. It is being speculated that the actor will be seen spreading his charm again on the big screen. The film will reportedly be ready by 2025 and it will hit the theatres on Makar Sankranti in the same year.
Reportedly, the highly anticipated film is currently in its pre-production phase. The shooting of this film will start in the first week of November and will continue till the last week of April. Once the shoot is completed, the post-production work including VFX will continue for the next six months.
Speculations are rife that Anushka Shetty has been roped in for the film. Besides, Aishwarya Rai is also in talks with the makers to play a crucial role opposite Chiranjeevi. Since there will be three actresses in the movie, it is expected that the Sita Ramam actress Mrunal Thakur may also join the film. However, the team has yet to make any announcement regarding the star cast of the film.
The movie is being produced by UV Creations whereas MM Keeravani will compose the music for the film. The production house, in a statement, said that the audience is excited to see Chiranjeevi in another fantasy entertainer like Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. The announcement poster was released a few weeks back and represented the five elements of nature- earth, water, fire, air and sky.
