Roshan Kanakala, the son of renowned TV host Suma Kanakala and actor Rajeev Kanakala, is stepping into the world of acting with the romantic drama titled Bubblegum. The movie’s teaser was revealed by the celebrated actor Nani in an event held at Saradhi Studios in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Featuring Roshan and Maanasa Choudhary as main leads, the romantic drama is under the direction of Ravikanth Perepu, known for his work on Kshanam (2016) and Krishna and his Leela (2020). Notably, Harsha Chemudu and Kiran G will be taking on significant roles in the film. Bubblegum is a collaborative production by Maheshwari Movies and People Media Factory.
The acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli earlier revealed the initial glimpse of the film. In the first-look poster, Roshan is featured alongside Maanasa Choudhary, who is also marking her debut. The poster showcases the actors posed together amidst fairy lights, set against a red backdrop that symbolizes the theme of love.

In the poster, Roshan exudes charm in a stylish red printed shirt, showcasing his youthful appeal. The movie is a joint production of Maheshwari Movies and People Media Factory. The musical score for the film is crafted by Sricharan Pakala, and the cinematography is expertly handled by Suresh Ragutu, with editing by Nishad Yusuf.
SS Rajamouli, who received numerous accolades for his film RRR, is preparing for his next project alongside Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled SSMB29. This high-budget action-adventure is reportedly set in Africa and is generating considerable anticipation. According to reports, filming for the project is slated to commence in September next year, following Mahesh Babu’s completion of Guntur Karam, directed by Trivikram Srinivas.
