Hyderabad LuLu Mall: Viral videos show stampede-like situation on opening day with half-eaten food and empty bottles littered on floor.

The grand opening of LuLu Mall in Hyderabad took an unexpected turn as groups of unruly shoppers unleashed chaos within the premises, looting food items and causing mayhem. Situated in Kukatpally, the mall celebrated its inauguration on September 27 with great pomp and drew massive crowds eager to explore the expansive shopping destination. However, the situation quickly escalated into disorder, with the public recklessly looting food items and various goods from the overcrowded location.

According to viral videos circulating online, the mall experienced an overwhelming influx of visitors, and some areas were so densely packed that it resembled a stampede. Shoppers were forced to endure long queues at the checkout counters, and the mall’s escalators even ceased to function due to the excessive number of users.

Eyewitnesses and security personnel reported that a segment of the crowd turned to destructive behavior, specifically targeting packaged goods and beverages. Shelves containing a variety of products were raided, and numerous items were opened, consumed, and then discarded throughout the mall. From partially eaten cupcakes to empty water and soft drink bottles, videos depicting the aftermath of the LuLu Mall opening have gone viral on social media, illustrating how individuals took advantage of the chaotic scene to consume and abandon items without paying.
