18-month-old girl suspected of suffering from polio

A suspected polio case was found in Latehar district and pathological reports were awaited for confirmation of the diseased, a doctor said on Sunday.

Dr Vijay Lakra said the parents of 18-month-old girl came to him at Bandua village under Heranj police station of the district on Saturday after the child fell down and its left limbs being afflicted.

Only after the pathological report could we say what exactly afflicted her, the doctor added.
