25-year-old man tries to rape minor girl, booked

A 25-year old man allegedly tried to rape a minor girl when she was returning home from a nearby school in the district, police said on Friday.

The 5-year old girl was lured by the accused identified as Jagdish who took her to an isolated place and tried to rape her on Thursday.

He left the girl when she raised an alarm, police said. Her father lodged an FIR against the accused last night against Jagdish who is absconding, they said.
