3 police teams to crack bank officials murder

BANGALORE: The police have intensified the investigation of the murder case of Shankar Pujari (55), chief manager of the regional office of Oriental Bank of Commerce. Pujari was found murdered at his residence near Yediyur Lake on Sunday evening.Three police teams have been formed to investigate the murder case. The police have questioned several people including the housemaid, milk vendor and several neighbours in connection with the case. “People with whom Pujari regularly interacted will also be inquired. His phone call details have been examined and we are trying to know with whom he interacted the most and who called him before the murder took place. However, we still have not received any strong clues in the case. We are investigating the case in various angles,” a police official said.Meanwhile, the post mortem on Pujari’s body was conducted at KIMS Hospital mortuary on Monday. His body was handed over to his co-brother, Babu, and the body was taken to Udupi, the victim’s native place. “We are planning to inquire the victim’s wife and daughter after 2-3 days. We are expecting that we could get crucial information after questioning them,” the official added. Further investigations are on.
