50-year-old medical officer commits suicide in depression

A 50-year-old medical officer allegedly committed suicide in Muzaffarnagar by jumping into a canal at Bhopa village in the district, police said on Tuesday.

Mukesh Gupta, took the extreme step as he was apparently under depression for some reason. He was posted in government primary health centre at Dhudhli, they said. Later, he was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead, doctors said.
