Before jumping into new year, let's look at the top electric two-wheelers that made a great entry into the Indian market and turned heads with their futuristic approach in this year.

2023 is about to end in just a few hours, and all of us are already preparing ourselves for entering into the new year, and looking forward to upcoming launches or products that are lined up for 2024. Before we enter into a new year, it would be injustic to not appreciate this year as it has given a massive boost to the auto industry in India, especially the electric two-wheeler segment.

The top manufacturer also has witnessed a great spike in sales, developed some great products, contributed to the segment, and forced Indian customers to give more priority to battery-powered vehicles instead of ICE models. Here’s a list of top electric two-wheelers, that made a great entry into the Indian market and turned heads with their futuristic approach.

TVS X

Best known for creating tech-loaded motor cycles, TVS dropped one of the most advanced e-scooters X in India. It was launched at the starting price of Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). When it made an official entry into the Indian market, some critics slammed the company over the price range. However, later, the vehicle sealed all the mouths after showcasing its actual capabilities.

The vehicle is powered by an 11kW electric motor and a 4.44 kWh battery pack. It offers a top speed of 105 kmph, and is capable of doing 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.6 seconds.

Ola S1 X

The leading e-scooter maker Ola also turned heads this year with the launch of S1 X. It was released at the starting price of Rs Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom, including FAME II subsidy), making it accessible for all the common under budget.

The company introduced it with two battery options – 2 kWh and 3 kWh – providing single-charge ranges of 85 km and 90 km, respectively.

Simple Dot One

The segment also has been contributed by a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup Simple Energy. The firm launched an entry-level scooter named Dot One. It made an official entry with a sticker price of Rs 1.0 lakh (ex-showroom).

On the powertrain front, it features an 8.5 kW electric motor and a 3.7 kWh battery pack. It has been claimed by the company that Dot One can do a 0-40 kmph acceleration in just 2.77 seconds and comes with a top speed of 105 kmph.
