7 CPM Men file bail plea

KOCHI: Seven CPM workers who are accused in the Shukkoor murder case filed bail applications before the Kerala High Court on Monday. Sudhakaran alias conductor Sudhakaran of Morazha, Pavithran of Pattuvam, Umesan of Ariyil, Vijesh alias Babootty of Morazha, Babu of Pattuvam, M P Dinesan alias Mina Dinesan of Kannapuram and Bijumon of Morazha are the petitioners.  Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) activist Abdul Shukkoor was murdered by as many as 50 CPM workers at Keezhara Vayal in Kannur. The incident occurred following an attack on CPM leaders, allegedly by IUML workers.
