New Delhi: Delhi woke up to a clearer day after it witnessed the season's worst fog in 5 years on Monday. Temperature though remain low across north India.

Srinagar is below freezing at minus 3 degrees celsius and Delhi at 8 degrees.

Fog was reported in some parts of Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh with parts of Punjab, south Haryana and west Rajasthan witnessing ground frost.

The MeT has said that temperatures will fall further in the coming days and thick fog is expected towards the end of this week.

After being badly disrupted for two days due to dense fog, flight operations at the IGI Airport were largely unaffected today though the airport witnessed shallow fog.

The airport had witnessed the second longest duration of dense fog conditions in the last eight years on Sunday and Monday, which led to suspension of flight operations for about three hours on Sunday night and affected the schedule of over 600 flights.

A total of 463 flights were delayed, 52 diverted and 140 cancelled due to poor visibility due to dense fog.
