Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP from Punjab, Bhagwant Mann on Thursday was accused of violating Parliament security rules on Thursday after he live streamed a video of his visit to the Parliament.
Mann's video was live streamed on Facebook and showed security pickets inside the Parliament.
Head of the Parliament security, RK Singh reported the matter to the speaker after which Sumitra Mahajan took cognizance of the video.
The speaker has also sought a report from the security staff on the alleged security breach.
The BJP and Akali Dal have slammed Mann and said they will raise the issue in Parliament on Friday.
R.K. Singh had earlier said that the AAP MP violated the rules of the house and put the parliament at a serious security risk.
BJP was quick to come out and criticise Mann. BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi asked for an investigation into Mann's video.
"I think security agencies should investigate Bhagwant Mann's video. Is Bhagwant Mann involved in any terrorist activity," Lekhi told reporters.
Mann meanwhile defended his actions and asked if his video had compromised the security of the Parliament.
He further added that he has done nothing wrong and will reply if the notice is served to him.
"I will do it again tomorrow", Mann said outside the Parliament.
"I just wanted people to understand how a question hour works," Mann added.
