THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition LDF in Kerala which had mounted a strong protest in assembly session against the derogatory remarks made by Forest Minister K B Ganesh Kumar and Government Chief Whip P C George, would continue the agitation demanding their removal from respective posts. If the assembly session, concluded yesterday, remained stormy the UDF Government was to be blamed for it entirely and not the opposition, Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan told reporters here today.Opposition was bound to raise vital issues in the assembly. However, the Government had adopted an approach of "insulting" the Opposition instead of responding to the issues in an appropriate manner, the CPI(M) leader said. The LDF had raised a host of issues like the derogatory speech of Kumar and George at a public meeting, withdrawal of a vigilance judge hearing the palmolein case, remission of punishment to jailed Kerala Congress (B) leader R Balakrishna Pillai and the attack on a teacher in a school owned by Pillai and student agitation in Kozhikode,Achuthanandan said.If such issues cropped up making the opposition to raise them in the house, the entire responsibility was for the government, he said. While Kumar ran into trouble by making vulgar remarks against S Achuthanandan George had allegedly made casteist remarks against CPI(M) MLA A K Balan at the same meeting.Kumar had expressed regret over his diatribe at 88-year-old leader. Balan had lodged a compliant with the police seeking action against George.
