Los Angeles: Hollywood star Ben Affleck is all set to reunite with his pal Matt Damon more than ten years after they teamed up in 1997's 'Good Will Hunting' for a film.
The film is a new biopic about Boston's most notorious gangster, Whitley Bulger. Affleck serve as the director while Damon will play the lead character, reported Ace Showbiz. "Matt and I have been looking for something to do together for some time. We've heard about Whitley Bulger since we were kids, and we are excited by the prospect of putting it on screen," Affleck said.
The script for the untitled Whitey Bulger biopic will be penned by 'Boardwalk Empire' screenwriter Terence Winter. The story recounts the life of Bulger, a notorious South Boston gangster boss who fled in 1994 and remained a fugitive for 16 years. He was finally arrested in Santa Monica in June this year.
Casey Affleck, younger brother of Ben, is also cast to play a supporting role.
