New Delhi: Former India cricketer Maninder Singh's arrest, along with his supplier Sayam Siddiqui, for possessing cocaine three days ago has led to another arrest on Friday.

Delhi Police's Narcotics Department arrested Sundramurthi, a small-time drug-peddler, after Siddiqui revealed his name during his interrogation.

Police say that Sundramurthi has in the business in the lure for quick money, and have also recovered 125 grams of charas from him.

Sundramurthi, 24, a resident of south Delhi, used to supply drugs to Siddiqui, who in turn would pass it over to his high-profile clients, police added.

Sayam Siddiqui also used to play cricket at Delhi's league level.

"We are questioning him to know the source of supply of the contraband, distribution pattern and his clientele," a senior police official told PTI.

Maninder Singh's arrest came after a tip-off as the former India Test cap was arrested with 1.5 grams of cocaine. He later admitted that the coke was for his own consumption, and that he had consumed drugs for the first time 10 years ago.

Maninder had been a regular drug abuser of late due to personal turmoil, and was planning to get away to Mumbai to destress himself.

He, however, refused that he was addicted and also denied that the cocaine was recovered from him. Maninder was released on bail a day after his arrest.
