Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is gaining in popularity on various social networking platforms, including garnering over 4.3 lakh followers on Twitter.
"The number of followers of Naidu's Twitter page is 4,37,696, while the number of likes on his Facebook page is 3,38,114 and the number of likes on the Andhra Pradesh government's Facebook page is 26,030," said a statement released by his office.
Naidu's Google Hangouts programme, held on December 20, 2014, created 2,94,62,648 impressions across the world. It was the first time the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister interacted with citizens through Google Hangouts on the topic 'Skill Development and Higher Education'.
"The total number of views of the programme on AP state government's YouTube channel is 2,10,758. The top ten countries which the AP Chief Minister's Google Hangouts programme reached are India, United States of America, United Kingdom, UAE, Australia, Singapore, Germany, Canada, Malaysia and Kuwait," it said.
More than 800 questions, suggestions and ideas were collected by using #AskAPCM or #AskCBN through Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and YouTube, it said.
Questions have been forwarded to the concerned departments and his social media team would soon reply to citizens with answers, it said.
Suggestions and ideas too have been taken from citizens and have been sent to the concerned departments, it said. The Google Hangouts programme would be held once in three months. It will be used as a medium to communicate with people and listen to them, it said.
