PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry unit of Communist Party of India marxist on Friday demanded the arrest of the owner of a guest house on Anna Salai, where a young woman was allegedly forced to enter flesh trade. In an official statement here, party unit secretary V Perumal said the police had arrested managers of a few lodges, but did not arrest the owner of the guest house in which the incident reportedly took place. The party unit secretary also urged the police to trace the victim, who had disappeared from a hospital while undergoing treatment.Two Arrested In Car Theft CaseTwo persons were arrested by the Reddiyarpalayam police in connection with the theft of a car here on December 18. Mill Owner Held for Smuggling PDS RiceOfficials of the Cuddalore Civil Supply CID arrested a mill owner for smuggling ration rice in Villupuram on Friday. A Police team led by inspector Ambedkar conducted raids in Villupuram on Friday evening. The team during the raids found 45 bags of PDS rice weighing 50kg at Fathima Flour Mill in SG Nagar. The owner of the mill, Sayed, was arrested by the police and a van that he had been using for the smuggling the ration rice was also seized.
