Aruna attacks Jupalli as One-day truce ends

HYDERABAD: Even as former minister Jupalli Krishna Rao resumed his Telangana Praja Abhiyan Yatra (padayatra for Telangana) from Ieeza in Mahaboobnagar district on Saturday, his rival in district politics and information and public relations minister DK Aruna has described the exercise as his personal and that it has nothing to do with the Congress.Krishna Rao, with a heavy police escort, resumed his yatra which he suspended on June 20 following resistance from Aruna who insisted that he was not welcome in her Gadwal constituency. She had accused him of not informing her of his tour even when he was about to enter her constituency.With the intervention of PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana, Aruna, however, “allowed” Rao’s padayatra in her constituency for one day. With heavy police escort, Rao set off from Ieeza at 6 am and reached Gadwal in the evening.But the fact the embers between the two leaders continue to smolder was evidenced when Aruna burst out at Krishna Rao on Sunday.
