Itanagar: An Army search team has found the bodies of the three persons who were on board the Pawan Hans helicopter which went missing in Arunachal Pradesh over a week ago. "The bodies of the occupants of the missing chopper has been found in Arunachal Pradesh," DGP S Nitithyanandam confirmed.
"The bodies are being brought to Khonsa, headquarters of Tirap district," the DGP said.
An Army team reached the Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh early this morning, in search of the bodies.
Tirap Deputy Commissioner Kamlesh Kumar Joshi and captains MS Brar and Rajeev Hoskote were on board the chopper as it took off from Khonsa in Arunachal Pradesh on August 4. The helicopter went missing shortly afterwards.
A massive search operation was undertaken and after a weeklong search, the wreckage of the helicopter was finally found on Monday in Tirap.
