Bail order amended, Anitha may be out today

THOOTHUKUDI: With the district session’s court making the necessary amendment in the bail order of DMK MLA Anitha Radhakrishnan here on Thursday, the MLA is likely to be released on bail on Friday.Though the district session’s court, here, granted bail to Anitha on Tuesday, Tiruchy prison officials refused to release him since sub-section 3 of crime number 185, under which he was charged, was missing in the bail order.The bail order required the attachment of the amendment of the district session’s court attested by the Tiruchendur Judicial magistrate court. Consequently, Anitha’s lawyers filed a petition in the district session’s court seeking amendment in the bail order. The district court on Thursday made the necessary amendment. It was attested by the Tiruchendur Judicial Magistrate Court on the same day and sent to the authorities of Tiruchy jail.
