HYDERABAD: Healing Matrix combines counselling methods with Rudraksh therapy to help people overcome their problems. Says Neeta, CEO of Rudra Centre, “People fear the Rudraksh because of its energy. But what we are trying to do is to help heal people.” Counselling will delve into the root problem of a person and the Rudraksh will help align the seven chakras in the body ensuring physical, emotional and spiritual well being. Neeta returned to India after a 10 year span in Indonesia when her interest in the Rudraksh developed. “My father had a wide collection of the beads and I felt myself drawn to them. I began studying about it and realised there was a lot of literature on it in the Vedas.” She toured Rishikesh, Haridwar, Nepal and other holy places trying to learn more about the bead. In 2000 she took over Rudra Centre and launched its website. From there, her network spread over twenty-five countries including the North America, Europe and South Asia. Speaking of her business acumen, Neeta adds, “Having lived abroad for about ten years, I found breaking into the western market easier. Even though I am from India, it needed a little more thorough planning to launch here.”Says Palash Jain, the strategy partner for Healing Matrix, “We studied the market before launching. Choosing a name was a challenge since it’s quite hard to get a domain name now-a-days. We wanted to market the company from a scientific point of view rather than spiritual or religious.” Hence the name Healing Matrix. But considering the choice of words, is the company targeting the more affluent market? “Not really. We have remedies for everyone. What we are banking on is really word of mouth rather than advertisement,” replies Palash. A cynic himself, who didn’t initially believe in this method, he says after meeting Neeta and experiencing it himself, he’s become a believer.Says Prabhavati, a healer at Healing Matrix, “The bead has a magnetic force. The more aligned your Chakras are, the more sensitive one becomes to the Rudra. I have a fairly balanced Chakra system, hence I can feel the vibrations of the Rudra.” Speaking of the Rudra, she says everybody cannot use the same Rudraksh. According to your body balance and needs, a Rudraksh will be recommended. The number of mukhis (faces) and the availability of that specific kind of Rudraksh determines how much it would cost. “Our Rudraksh price range starts from `800 and can go upto crores,” reveals Neeta. Speaking of the availability, Rudra Centre imports from Nepal as the best quality is available on the Himalayas that come in that terrain. “We are the largest importer of Rudraksh and have legalised the business in India.” Healing Matrix opens its first Indian outlet in the city today at Punjagutta, behind the Joy Alukkas showroom.
