The bank had returned the gold deposited by one Rambhau Mane in the same branch and mistook Ramprasad Mane for him, bank official said.

After he repaid the loan, the bank returned the gold. However, when he noticed that the gold he got back was much more than he had kept as collateral, Mane brought it to the bank's notice, the official said.
