New Delhi: Introducing its fourth OS 7 powered smartphone in India, Research In Motion has hit the Indian mobile market with the new QWERTY phone - the BlackBerry Curve 9360. Priced at Rs 19,990, the phone has a 2.44-inch TFT LCD screen and sports a 5 megapixel camera with a flash and 4x digital zoom.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 has 512MB of RAM and is engineered with an 800 MHz processor. Apart from internal memory, the microSD/SDHC slot supports up to 32 GB memory cards for additional media storage.

Further, it also comes with built-in support for NFC (Near Field Communications), a new technology that is enabling many exciting capabilities, including the ability to pair with NFC-enabled accessories or read SmartPoster tags with a simple tap of the smartphone.

Also, the enhanced BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) is pre-loaded and now extends the realtime BBM experience to a range of other apps, such as Foursquare, thereby allowing users to easily interact with each other from within the 'BBM connected' app. Besides, it also offers other social apps like Facebook and Twitter. Other key features include GPS, Wi-fi, 1000mAhr lithium-ion battery, face detection technology and Bluetooth v2.1.

To woo customers, the company has launched offers for Airtel mobile customers. Airtel's postpaid customers in Indian can avail special offers upon purchasing the BlackBerry Curve 9360 smartphone. As part of this offer, first time users of BlackBerry services can sign up for a trial offer from Airtel for a period of two months, at a price of Rs 299.
