Bomb hoax in Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: The police were put on their toes after some people alerted about sighting a bomb-like article near the police station at Polachira, Palamood, at Chingavanam on Monday.  The bomb squad was summoned to the spot immediately for examination. The officers, on examination, found that it was an empty ice cream ball which had been filled with mud and a wire attached to it covered with silver coloured paper, Chingavanam SI Thomson said. Somebody had played mischief to create panic, he added.
