The Bombay High Court has observed that the site of the gangrape must be fenced and made more visible.
Mumbai: After several cases of gangrape were reported from the Shakti Mills compound in Mumbai including that of a photojournalist, the Bombay High Court has observed that the site must be fenced off and made more visible.
The court said that halogen lights must be placed inside the Mill compound and entry must be restricted. The court also ordered a clean up under police supervision so that the crime scene is not disturbed.
The case of a gangrape with a photojournalist had come to light on August 16 where she was taken to the Shakti Mills compound and gangraped while she was on an official assignment. Soon after this case was reported another girl claimed to have been gangraped by the same set of accused.
